Hapai Taumaha Hapūtanga – Crisis Pregnancy Support is a GP-based service in the Nelson/Tasman area and a health professional-based service in the wider Wellington region in Aotearoa, New Zealand. We offer free, confidential, and both emotionally and practically grounded care for women who find themselves unexpectedly pregnant or need support in their pregnancies. Also, we offer support for pregnancy loss including abortion grief.

Emotional Support…
- We’re here to listen and give you the time and space to discuss any concerns you may have.
- We provide emotional support as you consider your options, continuing our support throughout your pregnancy and postnatal period, if you need it. We want to ensure you are supported every step of the way.
- If talking to your partner, parents, or whānau feels challenging, we can assist in facilitating those conversations.
- We can help you recognize and develop your support networks.
Information and guidance on…
- Accessing medical care, including free pregnancy tests, finding a midwife, scheduling doctor’s appointments, and locating childbirth education resources.
- Navigating financial matters, such as budgeting, accessing food parcels, or seeking financial aid.
- Continuing your education journey during and after pregnancy.
- Ensuring job security during pregnancy and parental leave.
